My name is Kierra Carroll. I am the Junior team coach. I was introduced to step in 2012 when my sister joined the Unstoppable Steppers; I didn’t join myself until 2013. Although I enjoyed traveling and watching them kill it in competition, the reason I chose to join the team is that the unity that the girls had was something I wanted to be a part of. Being on the team taught me that blood doesn’t make you family, love does. The bonds created within the team are what truly made us unstoppable steppers and a family. I want to give the girls the same love and dedication that we received from Coach Shanique and Coach Shana so that we can keep the Unstoppable name alive.
Hi! My name is Rohnique Davy, but I go by Coach Row, and I am the Junior Team coach. I am 22 years old and grew up in Silver Spring, MD. I’ve recently received my bachelor’s degree in African American Studies, and Government. I had originally started stepping in 4th grade at Greencastle Elementary school but joined the Unstoppable Steppers in 2012, where I really got to fall more in love with step. While being on the team I learned to not only become a strong stepper but a strong leader. Coach Shanique and Coach Shana helped shaped me into the woman I am today, and gave me the tools to navigate the real world. It was more than a team but a family. And this is exactly what I want to provide for these girls, a place where they can explore their passions, become sisters, and grow into the best young girls that they can be!
My name is Jasmine Akarolo, and I am a Junior Team Coach, also know as Coach Jas! I am a recent Graduate from Frostburg State University and am currently working as a Special Education Teacher with MCPS. I joined the step team in 2010 and was apart of the Untouchables division of the team. From the structure and creativity that I was drilled to know, I carried the understanding of how love and discipline powers your passions. This team set the tone for how I continued to understand movement as a stepper and dancer. It bred me into a performer and showed me the importance of how when you empower a team it directly impacts their individual characters.
