Words from Jasmine:

"UST (Wildcat Steppers lol) provided me with structure and discipline and taught me overall how to be a team player in all aspects of my life. Also, I was able to feel a sense of belonging with UST! The relationships built here showed me what unconditional love and support should resemble. It showed me the importance of sisterhood and togetherness and how to be a leader. These skillsets have helped me in both my personal life and professional development in adulthood."

Words from Alexis:

"UST taught me how to win and how to lose. You experience wins and losses daily in your journey toward success. In order to win in life, you must learn how to lose with grace and understanding, all to make the win feel that much greater. Being a part of the organization also shows you that winning is not singular. As a collective, you grow to love and learn together. I wouldn't trade that time in my life for anything."

Sekai Bonner Flag is a second generation Unstoppable Stepper.  Sekai dedicated 4 years of her middle and high school  endeavor to the Unstoppable Steppers Organization. She graduated with honors from Springbrook High School in Montgomery County, Maryland and attended Spelman College. Sekai graduated Summa Cum Laude with honors with her B.A. in Sociology in May 2022!!

Words from Sekai:

"UST gave me my first look at sisterhood. I was able to form bonds with girls that looked like me and work towards a common goal. Those girls really became my sisters and their mothers and coaches like family. In addition, I joined in middle school, which is such a pivotal time in anyone's life, but especially for a Black girl as we are physically growing up, finding ourselves, and facing negative messages from the media and society in general. UST provided us with a support system, an outlet to express ourselves, and taught us how to use our voices and be confident. My decision to attend Spelman was largely informed by experiences such was UST where I found community in women who looked like me. I knew I wanted to be surrounded by powerful Black women. UST played a great role and I couldn't be more thankful."
